The SC-18 is a stereo DI-box. Its function is to eliminate ground-loops. Whenever a hum occurs when you connect, for instance, a stereo keyboard or other stereo signal, it will be eliminated by connecting the SC-18 unit between your stereo source and your amplifier or mixer.
